I hesitate to say 'best left back we've ever had' because I didn't see pre-90's, but if there was anyone better, they were some player. A problem position for years, which a young Glaswegian, effectively swapped for Kev Stewart, from a relegated side, emphatically solved. Legend is right. #LFC

Thank that's harsh on the kid. Agree with the cog in the machine bit though. And if he doesn't remember Gerrard maybe remember Coutinho or Owen. Sad to see him go though and disappointed.

Diouf can say what he wants but Gerrard was right, as proven by a bang average club career. As for peles top 100 I'd read more into Jose and Ferguson trying to buy Gerrard time and time again, not too many knocking Dioufs door down.
