Five years ago today I had a total gastrectomy for cancer.
Very grateful to superb surgical & anaesthetic teams for getting me thru major surgery.
It was certainly worth it!

Today is the 4th anniversary of my total gastrectomy for stomach cancer.
Forever grateful for the skill & professionalism of my surgical, anaesthetic & nursing colleagues.
And not forgetting my Oncologist & that tincture of chemotherapy.
Grateful to wake up each day. 😃

One thing public private partnerships do incredibly well is to funnel public funds into private profit and shareholder dividends. I've yet to see a PPP that delivers a good deal for the public. Thankfully @maxrashbrooke.bsky.social has the receipts.

As an aside, I live in Ōtautahi and I saw tino rangatiratanga flags being flown from two different vehicles today.
I’ve almost never seen that in this city outside of an actual protest so my prediction is this thing has legs.
