This photo has started showing up on social media as if it's related to events of the past few days. It isn't. It's from the Vale of Evesham Asparagus Festival 11 years ago. The asparagus season traditionally starts on St George's day, hence the flag.

Mildly amusing football fact. With the absence of East Anglian representation in the Premier League this year, the most easterly Premier League club is the slightly misleadingly (in this context) named West Ham.

A while ago, I added the fact that I'm a a councillor to my LinkedIn profile. Ever since, I've been getting emails like this. Maybe someone should point out the fundamental flaw in this algorithm.
