DJT woke up suddenly one night. A plaintive voice called him: "Donny...?"

A ghost? Prez thinks. Guess it's possible.

"It's Mom, Donny," the voice said.

"Mom?" Prez flipped the light switch. There, before him, grin on his face, was NYC's mayor-elect.:

"Like I said. It's Mamdani! BWAHAHA..." 👻

At the final performance of ”Bat Boy” at City Center yesterday, the outpouring of affection for Kerry Butler was remarkable. Her performance (with Gabi Carrubba) of the enormously appealing “Three Bedroom House” earned thunderous & sustained applause you don’t hear every day. Absolutely thrilling.

In case you hadn't noticed it 50 million times, Carol Burnett is the classiest of acts. 🌞

So refreshing to have a blast of old-fashioned hope after a year with so much grief, fear, and sadness.

We've turned a page--let's keep turning many more.

Axe not what your mother has done to you…

Anybody else remember watching Lizzie Montgomery portraying Lizzie Borden in a TV movie half a century ago? (Word had it Endora was shaken.)

Thou shalt not bear false witness, Speaker Twerpo.
What a despicable little man who is lying through his teeth to try to incite violence against Americans who will be peacefully assembling to protest the Trump regime’s anti-democratic rule.
Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

Grandstanding Utah governor blathers on about forgiveness without limit. Does this mean he’s changed his mind about calling for the death penalty?

Yeah, right….

When it comes to mild expletives...why don't people say, "Oh, rats!" anymore to express exasperation or similar annoyance? This was a staple of the 1960s, along with the epithet "rat fink." But, gradually, these went away. I say welcome the pestilential rodents back to the lexicon!

Dear Prez T -

I was in the WC after you, &--it's true! Your sh*t DON'T stink!

It has a musky, manly aroma, redolent of piney woods, w/ notes of huckleberry. What bliss inhaling your essence!

Plz help my state fund a capitol annex. Will have a vast mural of YOU, reclining on a divan.

Whenever I see, hear, or think of a man with the surname "Sununu" (no matter the given name), my mind immediately migrates to Uncle Wiggly's Bad Pipsisewah...and it always will, I'm afraid.

I've thought of one scenario in which the world can count on Donald Trump to get things right:

Should a global crisis arise involving mislabeling of lions, rhinoceroses, and camels, dude's got it covered.

The world of jazz vocals has taken a double hit with the recent passing of Sheila Jordan AND Ronny Whyte.

These fabulously gifted singers will be deeply missed. Am so grateful I was lucky enough to hear both of them weave their magic in person.

My friend & I were emailing back and forth this AM about Constance Towers (wasn’t everybody? 😬), and I was happy to learn she’s still w/ us at 92 (striving to live up to her name?). Seriously, if your name was “Constance Towers” wouldn’t you be expected to be a pillar of strength—no frivolity ever?

The cybersphere has, for some reason, warmly embraced the erroneous idea that I'm a Pennsylvanian.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If given a pop quiz, how many operas could Melania Trump name? (Soap operas don’t count.)

Is the Playboy Mansion a national monument yet? Maybe name something after her there.

If there's nothing in the files that implicates Scourge, he should be elated to have their content released. His attack just makes people wonder more about what's up.

He may think his followers are sheep, but many continue to stray from the flock.

Popped into my head a distant memory:

When I was about 10, I knew two other Marks in my school. I fantasized that I was part of a sitcom about three irrepressible kids in an elementary classroom. The series was called "Three Marks Against Us."

I'd had no plans to see the "Boop" musical, but a friend was going with a group, and I got a ticket too. Very glad I did. Young audience seemed to know more about BB than I did. I had to look up info on her early incarnation as a poodle.
