Today, the Government of Alberta has introduced Bill 9 which uses the notwithstanding clause to restrict the rights of Two-Spirit, trans & gender diverse people. This legislation is brought days ahead of Trans Day of Remembrance - a day meant to honour the lives lost to anti-trans violence.

Still feeling ill. Staying home another day. But exposing a bunch of vulnerable persons and others to whatever I have is irresponsible and selfish.

Family calls me. Their 20yr old daughter/sister passed this week from an OD. I've worked with this woman since she was born(I drove mom to hospital to give birth). Over the decades family and I fought many battles together. I just listened. So tragic.

Sick in bed today. Won't be posting. Just sleeping.

Dropped off some wet cat food to a disabled woman who is fighting Child Services for more access to her 13-year-old daughter. Alone, her main support is this little kitty, whom she has had for the last 4 months.

Ive been asked to help a disabled mom. Her 13yr old daughter has pled guilty to stealing over 7 cars. Obviously, there are some very serious underlying issues. Here to help!

1/ Off to court to support a young man in docket court. His systemic issues is addiction. And of course, in this wacky province, government-run facilities will not take persons out of custody. Thus, most get dumped onto the streets, and guess what? Use, and quickly reoffend. #abpoli

Helping an Indigenous mom of five small children who lives in subsidized housing. She had discovered "Black Mold." Testing is complete, but the agency running the project is refusing to share the results. This is my fight today.

I get these tragic texts. And thanks to your donations, I can make some of their struggle somewhat bearable. Thank you to those who donate!!

An Indigenous Grandmother(Kokum) is now living in a hotel after her house burned down. She lost all her photos and memories of her six relatives, including grandchildren who have passed. She is devastated. Gave her some funds yesterday.

Helping a young single mom of 5 children, including a newborn. She had her gallbladder removed and has an infection. So the meds are covered, but not the change of bandages, and of course, she is still "THE" mother of her little darlings. And has little family support, thus, where I come into play.

Happy to help. Young single dad. Just released from the hospital, unable to work. And knowing how constipated and slow income support is...
November 11, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Please consider a $10 per month donation. That is $120 yr. Enough for a proper grocery bag for a single parent. Or a loaded-up bus pass. With monthly donations, we can budget and use our dollars more wisely. Go to my pinned post and SIGN UP.

Take two children to visit their mother at the hospital. Hang out a bit, they have a nice visit, and I take them back to grandmother's.

And that's a wrap. We had a sold out fundraiser! Many volunteers behind the event, including 3 bands. We had some great silent auction items. All-in-all a great success. Thank you everybody for believing in the work I and the @coalition4jhr do!

Very happy city council has put funds towards a day shelter. Issue with @HopeMission & other current options are they in my 3xperience are judgemental and throw God into your face. Staffing issues & tolerance towards vulnerable persons isn't in my opinion at a satisfactory level. #abpoli #yegcc

Helping a family whose home was lost in a fire. @redcrosscanada providing them with a hotel stay, as well as thier First Nation’s Band is supporting them. Family lost all their belongings and precious memories , especially those of loved ones who passed in recent years. 💔 Big part of my day today.

Taking two women to southern Alberta tomorrow. Both are going into a faith-based treatment home. I find faith-based programs hit-or-miss. This one is specific for women, and is very progressive. And I've had great results from those I've referred.

1/ Homeless young man is sexually assaulted. His parents died two years ago, one after the other, and everything fell apart. With no siblings, he couldn't cope and soon ran out of funds.

Trying to help an impoverished mom celebrate her child's 1st birthday. She struggled with addictions in the past, and went to a weird church that took 45% of her income. She has learned from that experience, but is struggling.

If you want to help, please get in touch with me.

1/ Helping an #Indigenous mom, who states after 14years at Nikihk Housing community (formerly Amisk Housing) has been told to leave at the end of November, thus thrown onto the street. #abpoli

More treatment centres continue to close their doors to persons in custody. This is a huge concern. Vast majority of those incarcerated are there due to harmful substance use. Without treatment, they just re-offend. #abpoli

Yesterday, the UCP forced teachers back to work without addressing why they walked out. Students, teachers, and parents are left with the same underfunded, overcrowded classrooms and too few supports.

Add your voice to oppose Bill 2! #abpoli

456,365 #ForeverCanadian signatures (plus few dozen last minute arrivals). I’m told it’s the biggest petition in Canada’s history.

None of this would happen if not for thousands of volunteers and your love for Canada.🇨🇦

Thank you! This is Alberta’s and Canada’s victory.

Anyone living in a free and democratic society should be disgusted by this action. Meanwhile, our Premier,
@ABDanielleSmith , is abroad in Saudi Arabia, perhaps gaining perspective on what life is like in a country with little regard for human rights. #abpoli www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
