And that's a wrap. We had a sold out fundraiser! Many volunteers behind the event, including 3 bands. We had some great silent auction items. All-in-all a great success. Thank you everybody for believing in the work I and the @coalition4jhr do!

Changing Lives Through Treatment, Not Confinement

A young man’s recovery journey shows why Alberta should fund real treatment programs instead of building more “friendly jails.” Proven community approaches deserve lasting investment.

Please make a tax-deductible donation to support my work with the Coalition for Justice and Human Rights. In 2023, we helped over 1,100 vulnerable people across Alberta.

Select “Outreach and Support” in the drop-down. Your support keeps this work going.

Edmonton’s Housing “Solutions” Are Nowhere Near Enough

Edmonton’s affordable housing crisis keeps growing. 10,000 families are now on Civida’s waitlist, and most still can’t find a home that truly fits their income or their children’s needs. #yeg

When I sit down with a family and Children's Services, this to me is the gold standard for a "Child Intervention Practitioner (Delgated worker). Social Workers are accountable to a higher standard and their college. This translates to a more transparent and trained worker. In my opinion.

Specialized courts in Edmonton, like mental health, drug treatment, and Indigenous court, are sending more people to treatment. This means I'm spending more time on the road.
