I have my first two visa applicants, a neighbor is going to the UK and a somewhat famous DJ is trying to get a visa to come to the US at the end of January for a tour... It will be interesting to see what their experience is.

My kid wanted to do accounting specialising in forensic accounting. Her degree is no longer deemed professional and not eligible for student loans.
Don't think this is anything other than payback by the President and His administration. They want to force people into predatory lending.

Everyone, is afraid of change. They think that change is something that happens to them, not for them. Adding lanes isn't change, despite the fact it will likely disrupt their drive for months or years. Removing loads of traffic by adding a bike lane is change because they might have to change

Fascinating. I assume the weight of the rider/bike impacts wear somewhat but I'm guessing it's still way more mileage per tire than for a car?
I live in Colorado and winter tires are a must, but for my car they are terrible value for local about town driving.

While in New Orleans French Quarter, I took the back staircase at the Cabildo Museum and found myself outside a room with National Guardsmen using facial recognition (red squares around faces) on multiple TV screens.
It really spooked me.

My first big success was to virtualize the credit card transaction system of a NYC bank in 1983 and do it in 4MB increasing total RAM to 12MB giving us enough to bring up a small test system on the same processor.
You can't even load a USB driver for that on a PC.
