I’m SO excited about these!
Specially for @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social I’ve made up the first ever Bumble & Snug print, as well as the only collection of the Bugbops webcomic strips!
They’ll be on sale there, & I’ll be donating all profits from them to the Comics Cultural Impact Collective!

One of the downsides of having a child who is addicted to comics: Having to carry a bare minimum of 4 files full of Phoenix issues whenever we stay over anywhere.

Already love working on this project! All the projects I’m currently working on vary from ‘slightly different’ to ‘wildly different’ from Bumble & Snug, & it’s lovely stretching different art muscles.

The worst part is that I got 100% despite the fact that I don’t play any GW games, and don’t even paint my minis for the games that I do.

It flattens out manga sales data and manga readership meaning that a title like Yotsuba&! (left) gets put in the same category as Gyo (right), both labelled as adult graphic novel sales.

Absolutely great to see two brilliant comics in the 2026 World Book Day line up, especially considering that there’s only been two comics in total for the last 10 years of WBD.

Later this week I get to spend some time with these characters, and I can’t wait! I love their world so much, and I’m so giddy to tell people about it someday :)

Strips/character being a regular presence in readers lives has historically been such a major part of comic’s appeal. I get why, but I’m amazed Scholastic hasn’t tried an anthology digest in the states yet. The Phoenix over here has proved it can succeed.

On the point about Waterstones & children’s comics, here’s a joyous picture I took in my local branch earlier this week. It’s the first time I’ve seen children’s comics shelved in their own section, adjacent to the age category. It’s lovely to see!
