An excellent piece that should be mandatory reading for the ownership, management, and players at Spurs, so they could better understand the source of the fans' anger. It isn’t just about one result or mistake; it’s about the ongoing disregard for our loyalty in favour of making a few extra quid.

At least he didn't try to sugar coat it. I was worried he’d come out and claim we’d played well or had been unlucky. This is the sort of performance that could kick start a season. A realisation that you can't play like that at home too many times and keep your job. 🤞

At least he didnt try to sugar coat it. I was worried that he'd claim we were unlucky or played well. The one positive I'll take from that game is that Frank acknowledges it was bad. He's a smart manager, hopefully this will provoke some changes in the way we play at home.

This fanbase doesn't know what they want. Mourinho and Conte were too negative but Ange wasn't pragmatic enough. We want some mythical middle ground where we’re dangerous in attack and solid at the back. I like Frank but I would have rather seen season 3 Ange. birdyspurs.co.uk/was-sacking-...
Was Sacking Ange Postecoglou the Right Call? - Birdy Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to part ways with Ange Postecoglou after two seasons was not entirely surprising. The club made clear in its statement that the

Yeah. Up until now, we've been bad, but there were small signs that we had something to build on. Tonight magnified all the worries. We have no one capable of keeping the ball or playing a pass. Like last season, we're so easy to play against, but for very different reasons.

I'm normally a glass-half-full person, but even I can't find a single positive from that performance.

It doesn't look good.

Difficult to argue with that assessment. Not a single positive to take.

Our CBs did a lot of passing to each other, but no fucker thought to pass to our striker.

I couldn't even tell you where that 0.05 came from. If anything, that flatters Spurs.
November 1, 2025 at 8:36 PM
You could have watched for 24 hours, and I doubt we'd have fashioned a chance. Absolutely woeful.
November 1, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Woeful. Not a single positive to take from that game. This was a home game against an average Chelsea team, and we weren't even close. I like Frank, but that was unacceptable. 3rd season Ange would surely be better than this?
November 1, 2025 at 8:02 PM
At least the stats back up how bad I thought that was when watching. Sky are currently waxing lyrical about how good Chelsea were. They were ok, but Spurs were abject. Passive, negative, naive, and lacking in ideas.
November 1, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Turns out the bench here was an indication of how we would play. Completely fucking anonymous.
November 1, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Was thinking the same thing. We're miles off. We have zero composure in midfield. What I’d give for a Dembele right now.
November 1, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I like Frank and think he could be good for us in the long run, but if we perform this poorly at home for much longer he’ll be under pressure.
November 1, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Same. That first half was pathetic. Admittedly, it’s a fairly low bar at home this season but we were so far off a pretty average side. We’re soooo bad on the ball it’s painful.
November 1, 2025 at 6:32 PM
Not a great combination. Lack of quality, composure, and movement. We’re fucking awful at home. We are such a reactive team, we don’t have a single (fit) player who can dictate the tempo of a game and make things happen.
November 1, 2025 at 6:24 PM
The main difference is quality on the ball. As soon as we get possession we look like we’re going to lose it. Partly because of Chelsea’s aggression, but mostly because of our lack of composure and quality.
November 1, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Ah ok. In that case I’d worry about Palhinha in a more slightly more advanced position given his severely limited passing range.
November 1, 2025 at 4:52 PM
I think it will be one of the last two but surely Palhinha as the base of the diamond?
