Our CBs did a lot of passing to each other, but no fucker thought to pass to our striker.

I knew our injuries were bad but this is ridiculous.

It's not surprising that no Tottenham players appear in this chart. An excellent article on Adam Wharton highlights why many consider him an ideal target for Spurs. #COYS www.nytimes.com/athletic/671...

In a data-driven model, you surely identify the profile you need, & then the boffins come up with a list. It makes sense that MGW was top of the list, but the other names, except for Akliouche, seem to vary wildly. Let's hope it is mainly agent talk and Lange strikes soon with a couple of blinders.

I posted it as an example of what the blue line (league position) should look like. It was lazy rather than aiming to misinform. The article now uses the correct graph.

Good spot, Steve; I hadn't noticed that. I couldn't find the graph I wanted, so I asked chatGPT to create it. I saw the position line going down & didn't check the actual data. 🙈 The point is still valid but it should look like this (blue line). Lesson learnt to always check AI! I will update ASAP.

Let me guess, the injuries started around here? Is it possible that the moment that Ange Ball clicks, usually in his second season, has just been delayed by an unprecedented injury crisis?

This graphic pretty much sums up the problem. Lots of slow, pointless possession around the halfway line and not much else.
