Long-term, the party's problem is that rural voters have more power than urban voters. Nationalization is killing Dems. A better idea would be for the DNC to host 9 smaller regional conventions so that eg MT Dems can distinguish themselves from DC/NYC etc. Parties used to be more local/regional
