𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿: Hear me read at The Book Bag open mic (Nov 9th)
First few hundred pages would just read: 'Wanked'.

In a Kia, you can choose three, five or seven blinks.

In that you find it resurfacing years after first coming into contact with the fucking stuff.
November 11, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Correct. Glitter is an abomination on every level.
November 11, 2025 at 12:25 PM
Correct. I'm probably responsible for the deaths of countless turtles: their throats stuffed full of plastics covered in my kids' shit and piss.

This reply deserves more love.
November 11, 2025 at 12:06 PM
Interesting. That feels more in line with a vigil (which I know, technically, is different).
November 10, 2025 at 12:56 PM
Well, to be in something's 'wake' is to come after it. So I guess that means ... no?

You spelled Winchester wrong. First the capital of Wessex, then of a united England. Ninth century.

Colchester was the first ROMAN capital. Earlier, sure (49AD), but still inaccurate given your opinion.

This made me go hug all 12 cheeses in my fridge. Whisper that it's all gonna be okay.
November 10, 2025 at 10:27 AM
Don't sweat it. I'm a writer, yet I'm STILL getting stuff like this wrong after 26 years in the job.
November 10, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Just own it. Like I did with 'Sex and the City'. And 'Desperate Housewives'.
November 10, 2025 at 7:50 AM
Someone's not been subjected to 'Dawson's Creek' ...
November 10, 2025 at 7:48 AM
This is absolute bollocks. Next ...
November 10, 2025 at 7:46 AM
I'd buy a pizza from Santa. As long as he delivered. And didn't take all night.
November 10, 2025 at 7:39 AM
Wrong. Punctuation is one of the five constituent parts of grammar.
November 10, 2025 at 7:37 AM
Agreed.
November 10, 2025 at 7:35 AM
What more can I do but echo the cries of praise from other poets who read last night? You've created another great space for poets, @paulwritespoems.bsky.social – and a unique one, in that you're encouraging writers to air work not yet perfected. Like a reading and a workshop, rolled into one! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'm guessing the OP means two additional piercings so far.
November 9, 2025 at 2:35 PM
Ha! Not a problem fella! Just confused me – which isn't hard these days. 😆
November 9, 2025 at 1:32 PM
No, you misunderstand. It's the CAT who's sitting and waiting by the fridge, not the OP's wife.
November 9, 2025 at 6:45 AM
Wankers as in ... anyone buying Apple products?
November 9, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Um ... did you mean to put this reply here, fella?
November 9, 2025 at 6:35 AM
Tell me, which of these images is genuine, and which was produced using AI?

So if Nov 30th passes and you haven't heard from whichever journal you sent work to, please try to not take it too much to heart. An editor's/publisher's job is difficult enough. For us to know we've had to decline work based on nothing more than a lack of space for it is heartbreaking, trust me. 🫤
