I asked a guy who had generated an obvious look-a-like of a fairly well known indie artist why he didn’t just buy her work. He blocked me immediately.

I would have actually watched this Voyager.

I always imagined Daniel Craig’s run as its own universe. It starts at the very beginning of his career and runs through to the explosive ending of it. I mean, this can’t have been the same guy from the 60s to the 2020s. Every actor is pretty much a reboot like with Batman.

To be perfectly frank, I have never really noticed that many idioms on SNW, at least not enough to bother me. What did consistently bother me was all of the dialogue and direction on VOY and ENT that was flat as a board.

The funniest thing being why would a planet full of aliens know who James Joyce was and be impressed by that?

Dude has Data’s yellow eyes, black hair, and white skin a half a decade before there was a Data.

Nagel was very big on tracing whatever fancied him and modifying it a bit here and there. We’re still finding his source images decades later. For instance, the model he lifted for his Duran Duran cover was only spotted last year.

patricknagelartsCherry 🍒 Ice Cream smile! (Model found!) Patrick Nagel fans today we publicly reveal Duran Duran’s “Rio” May 1982 album cover image source from Vogue Paris, February 1981.This was a multi page editorial for Angelo Tarlazzi. (Please swipe for last image as well to see our gorgeous model in a better full view!) My friend @nagel_angel has spent $$$ and countless hours to hunt this down! He deserves all the credit on this discovery and also did the AI layout to prove it! “Hungry Like The Wolf” he is indeed! TY! While one mystery is revealed … another mystery still presents itself. Who is the model for our modern day “Mona Lisa” ? Edit: Model is Marcie Hunt @marciehunt1 & Thank you @ser.sarah.bastos for helping identify her. Barry Hahn @bkh2o Patrick Nagel’s technical art assistant confirmed this indeed was the tear sheet used by Nagel. His reply to @nagel_angel “Great Catch!” Indeed it is… Would you have put it together just flipping through magazines? I certainly would have missed it and it appears it has been missed for 42 years! 😂We suspect the model and maybe the band Duran Duran had no idea Nagel was influenced and used this image to create the cover of their musical masterpiece, “Rio”. He certainly changed many things, most specifically removing her glasses, but he obviously loved her smile. And that smile has been an iconic piece of Duran Duran history for decades. It is important to note this magazine came out 15 months before the release of “Rio” and Nagel loved 🥰 looking through fashion magazines from Europe. Nagel was an incredible photographer and shot so many images himself for his art but we know he also got inspiration from other sources and this one is a gem. He then would draw out his images on paper using French Curve and once he loved his layout he would draw, ink and paint them to a board. This image also is on canvas and if you click my Duran Duran button you will see birthday boy Nick Rhodes with Nagel’s masterpiece. Yes, we release this today in honor of Mr. Rhodes Birthday. #nickrhodes #duranduran #rio #patricknagelarts #80s #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner #80sfashion #vogueparis #80smusic #newwave #patricknagel

Someday someone needs to explain to me how Roga Danar escaped the transporter beam and where he disappeared to after. It seems like he physically broke it with his hands.

Crime in the Bay Area is basically the most affluent people whispering ghost stories to themselves and scaring themselves shitless.

I love these renders of that early TNG bridge concept by Tadeo D'Oria. @rekkert.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy

This style of bridge also featured in the “The Word of God” webcomic by @mark2000.bsky.social and @ryanthomasriddle.com

These ‘roads not taken’ designs are always so fascinating to me. /2

We also used that lower right concept as the entry lobby to the mall, a large wooded recreation area in the saucer.
