Meanwhile, at the big 🕳 being dug in Nashville, more things are happening. It's pretty mysterious. But I guess Highway 31 (8th Ave, Franklin Rd.) is the federal road they plann to dig under, at least at first.
Hole in a parking lot with orange and white plastic barriers around it. One end seems to have been reinforced with a wooden wall made or rebar with railroad ties dropped between them. A dirt ramp leads into the hole from one side. Beyond you can see 8th Ave. N. and the new glass skyscrapers built where Lifeway used to be. A rectangular tower built beside the hole. A platform on top has a yellow railing around the outside and holds a lot of cylindrical thing laying on their sides on stands of different heights. A long view of the worksite from above and to the side (from Capitol Hill). The tower appears about 3 stories tall and the rectangular footprint is 6-10 feet longer than the white shipping containers nearby. There's lots of office trailers around the hole, and one large Hitachi digger.

My first thought was of Iran-Contra. Only one person did actual prison time, and it was for tax evasion:

The Tennessee Gov plans to give some prime downtown real estate in Nashville to E. Musk, so that he can break his tunnel machine there on the rock the city sits on. I wonder if he will just leave it in the hole after it breaks?

These tiny ants have been working through some pecans I dropped, and I kind of love them.

There is an easy way to eliminate nearly two-thirds of the arsenic in rice — cook it like pasta. Using 6 to 10 cups of water for every cup of rice and draining the excess before eating can remove up to 60% of arsenic. However, only rinsing rice before cooking doesn’t work, according to the report. To further the amount of arsenic removed, soak rice for a half hour or overnight and drain before cooking as suggested.
