Today I learned that sometimes a hawk with a very full belly will sit and digest and glare at you and your little dog, too. Thanks for the wildlife center for answering my panicked call.

Last night was the last open mic of the year. Reading my work to an audience really helps me grow as a writer and I’m grateful to the venues that host these events. A fellow writer bought one of my books, and that felt so supportive and wonderful.
