#handsoff. 5,000 ralliers landed on Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, CA. Sonoma, posted 3,000, and there were 100s in Napa, and 100s more driving by or walking or biking by. Oakland & San Fran will get the media, but we are the working class who support the farms and tourism that fuels our county.

I had to stop following the carnage for a couple of days because it was literally making me ill. This happened on my mini-reprieve:
For over 80 years, Voice of America delivered news to countries—many under authoritarian rule—where reliable information was scarce. Now, those broadcasts, once a vital tool for promoting democracy and transparency, are fading away.

This outrage and fight on a budget has no strategy or thought behind it. Schumer makes a damn good point, and it is a strategic move. I think his move, at the very least, should be considered. Shut down the government, instant coup.
