US censorship reached the EU, specifically the BBC, guardian of free speech and objectivity.
Trumps tactics of bullying the media into submission are now applied overseas.
Please UK, mend your laws to prevent this from ever happening again.
Please EU, remain the union of the free and please be brave

A severely neglected issue. Time and again the financial sector has been saved with huge amounts of public money, mainly going into the pockets of shareholders and the very wealthy.
The banks and investors and crypto czars now rely on this, allowing them to take ever greater risks.
Regulate them!

This really is a bloody shame.
But some time ago, I understood that the stuff had alredady been destroyed.
Is there still a chance to salvage it?

Lets choose the language that most Europeans understand. English.
And yes, that will be tough on the French, who stubbornly refuse to speak english even though they understand and speak it very well.

Ik denk dat het nog simpeler moet. Dit is nog te zakelijk, rationeel.
Het kan best nog emotioneler, meer in beelden dan beleidsthemas, meer in de aanval dan beschaafd debat?

Een “subjectief gevoel van onveiligheid” had ik 50 jaar geleden al.
Het wordt vrouwen met de paplepel ingegoten door waarschuwende, ouders. En vooral door de eigen ervaring: intimiderend en dreigend gedrag van mannen die je onderweg tegenkomt ‘s nachts.
Niks “subjectief” dus, en niks social media!

Another take on the same facts: Europe never wanted Britain to leave. Britain wanted to leave Europe. And is now trying to mend relations.

And remember the warning by Timothy Snyder: the next terrorist attack will be used by this government as a pretext to further limit civil liberties, to further persecute opponents, to strengthen its dictatorial hold on the country.
Be prepared to counter that!
