In 2025 waren er in de VS tot eind augustus 357 ‘mass shootings’ met 302 doden en 1354 gewonden, gem. meer dan 5 per week.
Een incident telt als ‘mass shooting’ als er ten minste vier mensen worden neergeschoten.
In 2024 waren er 502 van dit soort schietpartijen.
