PA WIC checks through the USDA Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program were reduced from 604,000 to 293,000. This reduction impacts families, farmers, and communities. Fewer than 1/2 of pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children under 5 from last year get fresh fruits and vegetables.
