Well, competence, for one. Kindness. Empathy.
Pete Buttigieg suggested he would “assess” a 2028 presidential run.

While visiting Iowa, he said in a live interview that he'd consider “what I bring to the table.”

He vaulted onto the national stage in 2020 out of South Bend, Indiana. This time, his calculus looks different.

I cannot possibly see why they might be suspended for this. Just shocking.
Students across the U.S. are doing the “Chromebook challenge,” a social media trend where they jam objects into school laptops until they spark and smolder and share the footage of the smoking laptops on TikTok and Instagram. Some students have been suspended or even faced criminal charges.

HB 1106 allows more disabled veterans to qualify for property tax relief.

This will help more veterans stay in their homes, especially those who are not able to work because of their disability.

Thank you to Rep. Stephanie Barnard for this bipartisan bill to help our veterans.

We need the help of all Washingtonians, and I urge everybody to raise awareness of the support services that are available for suicide prevention.

Together, we must encourage those in need to reach out for help, hope, and community.
Washington State is committed to fighting suicide among service members, veterans, and families. Watch @governorferguson.bsky.social's overview video and learn how to help!

Harmful budget cuts take away services that working people rely on & create a downward spiral of higher costs, lower wages, & lost jobs.

But if #WALeg funds services by making the wealthy pay what they owe in taxes, it creates an upward cycle of more employment, lower costs, & healthier communities

This isn’t just a policy disagreement—it’s an illegal, unilateral decision that undermines democracy. Congress has the power of the purse, not Trump. He’s putting his personal agenda ahead of the veterans, servicemembers, families, and communities who rely on these funds.

National security is at risk. Trump’s freeze halts funding for defense supply chains, research on advanced military technologies, and grants that ensure our military readiness. This decision makes America less safe.

Military families will pay the price. Trump’s order cuts off Impact Aid for schools on military bases, ROTC training, and support programs like Fisher House for families of injured servicemembers. These families deserve better, and Trump is failing them.

President Trump’s illegal executive order freezing billions in federal funding is a direct attack on veterans, active duty military, their families, and communities across America. He is solely responsible for this reckless and unlawful decision.
