99% probability that if there’s something posted about McRib, @costasamaras.com is involved. Take it to the bank.

Having served as a detailee (not political) in the 45 and 46 admins, I drew strength from those halls and rooms to help me do good things. Knowing others faced challenges helped me persevere, especially in the pandemic. That some halls have been torn down… that pains me. But others remain.

I know your comments were in the context of earthquakes, but this quote from Gilbert White more than 80 years ago will always resonate:

"Floods are 'acts of God,' but flood losses are largely acts of man."

NOAA provides an array of products & services to help local-level officials understand and act to prevent adverse impacts of climate change. The precip data are moving fwd (so far). We also need to protect other things. Reauth of Digital Coast Act can help. Get the word out and support that!

And …as @marhon.bsky.social pointed out on original post.
The 26% statistic does not not anticipate development (increased impervious surface), erosion/channel change, or climate impacts on rainfall and sea level rise.

#NOS and #OAR #SeaGrant. Zero budgeting OAR doesn’t kill just climate research! It hampers some of the most effective local-level extension agents who advise on many issues, including #CoastalHazards. They’ve earned the trust of the communities they serve.
