The argument that cyclists on Bloor Street affected by future lane removals can just take the subway sure would seem to also apply to drivers today who are griping about the bike lanes. www.torontotoday.ca/local/transp...

It's very frustrating to me that "savvy" political coverage does not include the savviness required to point out that the lifelong misogynist who lies all the time might not have been serious about delivering on this proposal.
How could that Trump voter have believed electing him would make IVF free? She must've been into fringey alternative media, maybe saw it from some influencer, professional media outlets would never oh no.

there is nothing that makes me stop listening to someone faster than using snarky nicknames when referring to dangerous oligarchs. you're not funny or smart for calling him "elongated muskrat". please stop.
I can’t do the nicknames. It’s so cringey. I don’t know how people can convince themselves that the richest most powerful people in the world would be hurt in the slightest by being called Elmo or Drumpf. They’re people who can literally murder countries.

This here is perhaps one of the more depressing aspects of Toronto. It's really about what is Toronto: a city or suburb? And deep down it is suburban, from the cn tower to the city limits.

Cities are about freedom, economic or otherwise, and this is the opposite.
Councillor Bravo says she's been working for the last week to try to get her colleagues to a "yes" on corner store zoning, but it just didn't happen. She says unfortunately this means a coffee shop in her ward, The Finch, will be in violation of the existing bylaw effective Jan 1

As a Canadian, the tenor of the conversation around trans health care in the U.S. Supreme Court worries me greatly, because our leaders and lawmakers love to play copycat.

And I fear when these conversations inevitably make their way into our courts and legislatures in the coming months and years.
