Former corporate cubicle dweller, now a lady farmer of chickens, turkeys, goats & pigs. Healthy food advocate. Always a Michigander at heart.

If you are a friend from another social media platform posting as an alias here, I might not recognize you.
The numbers don't lie. As a small scale female farmer in a high poverty rural community, I absolutely rely on customers using SNAP/EBT funds to purchase my products at the local farmers market.
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

More than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable, affordable access to nutritious food. And as the cost of living skyrockets, more families are depending on SNAP benefits, or food stamps, to put food on the table.

Booker: Do you think we got the right to vote for women because a bunch of men on the House floor got together and said “on the count of three, women get the right to vote..” That’s not how it happened… Change doesn’t come from Washington. It comes to Washington.

Somehow I don't believe this action will make American healthy again...
10,000 Health and Human Services employees are being laid off.

These are the people who track diseases, conduct research, make sure our food and medicine is safe, and administer health insurance for nearly half the country.

Tell me how this will "make America healthy again."

This just keeps getting worse. How many children have to die before something changes?
This week, as the number of confirmed measles cases rose to 483, the CDC buried a report that would’ve stressed the importance of getting vaccinated.

The move was “not normal at all,” one agency staff member said.

The CDC Buried a Measles Forecast That Stressed the Need for Vaccinations
The move — along with the CDC’s explanation — is a sign that the nation’s top public health agency may be falling in line under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime critic of vaccines.

In the past four weeks, Costco, which has embraced DEI initiatives, GAINED 7 million shoppers…

Target, which got rid of DEI, LOST 5 million shoppers!

That’s the power we have as consumers.

Remember that.

The United States of America is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care as a human right.

The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy.

We must end that international embarrassment.

Yes. We need Medicare for All.

WWMND? Mass daily protest until the regime resigns. Financial blackout. Total shutdown of his financial backers & their businesses. Not one dollar to be spent. It’s never been done before?
Good.
Time to add an asterisk to the Constitution about dealing with corrupt tyrants.
