Some of the wildest reasons we've heard for choosing not to spay/neuter:
"I want my dog to experience the joy of motherhood first."
"Neutering will ruin my cat's natural masculinity."
"They deserve the freedom to choose whether they want kids."

Something is afoot at HUD.
This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

📌I was the managing editor at Stars and Stripes and can tell you that Pete Hegseth is the first SecDef I am aware of to be openly booed by military families on a military base.

📌This is the most significant pushback I have seen to this administration's racist, hostile initiatives.
Hegseth’s rough start: Pentagon chief faces protest at U.S. base abroad
The question isn’t why the defense secretary faced pushback at U.S. European Command headquarters; the question is whether he’ll see more protests soon.

Even if Los Angeles were low on water, Trump’s executive orders wouldn’t help with that, because the federal government’s canal system doesn’t actually deliver any water to the Los Angeles area.

From @gristnews.bsky.social via @climatedesk.org:
Trump's claim of routing water to Los Angeles is hogwash. It all goes to Central Valley megafarms.
"It’s an attempt to tie water supply to a natural disaster, but those connections don’t exist in reality.”

Once, I had a small business hand-dyeing yarn. I Just got an email from a Canadian supplier from way back then, talking about the impact tariffs would have on pricing if they go into effect tomorrow. On both sides of the border, small businesses, as well as consumers, are going to be hurt by Trump.

So to keep tabs, Trump hired a man to run defense whose former colleagues called him a falling down drunk (he denies it) and who paid a woman $50k for...he hasn't said but he's also denied sexually assaulting her or abusing one of his ex-wives. And he's hiring a former drug addict to run healthcare.
