Depends on the kid. *I* am still a bit freaked out by the flying monkeys. But my 8 year olds were fine with it.

Yikes!! She lucked out!! My family used to have a camp near Moosehead Lake in Maine, and it seemed like every year someone would get the top of their car taken clean off by a moose. They would typically put the car on display as a warning.

Heck, moose in New England are terrifyingly massive, I can't imagine how big they are in Alaska! I was always told to brake for deer, but take your foot off the brake at the last minute for moose because they are so tall that having the hood down increases the risk of the it hitting the windshield.
