"Predator: Badlands" truly takes the Predator franchise in an exciting new direction. Turning the Predator into the protagonist worked WAY better than it should've been. This is the most mythos-involving film I've ever seen of the Predator but it doesn't naval-gaze at itself to its own detriment.

A mainstay of many iconic Samurai films. Favorite Tatsuya Nakadai performance is definitely in "Ran" which remains haunting to this day.

"One Battle After Another" is the most indicative film of 2020's America we'll likely see anytime soon. Despite a fictional setting, the film features striking parallels to our current time period in all of its dystopian imagery. PTA's sensibilities seamlessly go well with its dark comedy elements.

Amazon knew this set was gonna be such an important event that it got double boxed to avoid returns from damaged batches. Common sense thinking given that this set went OOP only mere days after it went live.

Zyuranger isn't exactly a top-tier Super Sentai series all throughout but when its good man is it REALLY good. It's one of the most famous seasons in that not only is it the 1st series to be fantasy-based (as supposed to sci-fi based) but it's also the 1st series to be adapted into Power Rangers.

My Superman 4K Steelbook arrived unscathed and it is definitely propped up by its lovely slipcover. It gives it a nice presentation & it's indented so it feels nice to the touch. That said I wish the artwork was the initial teaser poster because none of the promo art ever looked as great.

If Steelbooks aren't your jam then there's also the Walmart slipcover version on the left and the standard version on the middle. The extras are pretty standard Disney/MCU fare but the commentary should at least be good. Get ready for October 14th folks!

I'm digging the artwork for the Fantastic 4 Steelbook. The Amazon exclusive version on the right includes a removal lenticular cover & some swag. If the price is the same, then I'll probably get the exclusive one. Hopefully Disney manufactured enough in stock so that it doesn't sell out immediately.

Missing Link Ultra Magnus! The articulation on this mold was never going to be dynamic but the joints that it has makes him feel alive in ways he didn't before. As always I love the stickers from the OG toy are now painted decals & the set still has the same play features but with bonus accessories.

The 4K transfers are already out digitally & from what I've seen Shout knocked it out of the park (goodbye old DVD transfers). Though none of the Dragon Dynasty extras are ported over, Shout gives Hard Boiled as well as Better Tomorrow MORE than enough commentaries & interviews to make up for it.

Couple days back the entire theater's power went out (as well as neighboring places) while I was in the middle of watching a movie. It was kinda eerie walking out of the theater when it is all pitch black like an actual horror film. Thankfully I went to nearby AMC that allowed me to finish the film.

Due to the upcoming "Tron: Ares", OG Tron & Legacy are now getting 4K sets in just 2 WEEKS. Probably going to get them for these lovely steelbooks alone.
