Senate Democrats who caved literally had just *one* job to do-- refuse to vote until the GOP agreed to extend ACA subsidies & reverse cuts to Medicaid, other health programs.
40 days of a shutdown that was actually working, now with nothing to show for it.
We need a new Democratic Senate leader.

I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care.
Trump and R’s have more than doubled Americans’ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, they’ve made it worse by taking food from kids.

At a time when Trump wants to double premiums and throw 15 million off the health care they have, please remember that the U.S. is the only major country on Earth not the guarantee health care to all as a human right.
We must pass Medicare for All.

The problem with the Senate Democrats who caved is that they operated as if we are in some earlier era in which the GOP sometimes acted in good faith to compromise and in which Presidents had genuine concern about the people and cared about the implications of massive electoral losses.

Crazy idea: Why not, rather than spending $5 TRILLION dollars to pay for data centers to create fake brains, just pay actual human beings with real brains that same $5 trillion?

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

Breaking: 8 Democrats vote to end shutdown, clearing the way for health care premiums to soar for 20 million and for millions more to lose care under Medicaid. Democrats have lost any leverage that once had - a catastrophe for the party and the nation.

The bill is passing ugh
NEW: It appears Senate Dems have enough votes for cloture with Jacky Rosen flipping to a yes vote. Rand Paul voted no. Kaine, Rosen, Fetterman, Shaheen, Hassen, King, Durbin, Cortez-Masto are the dems yes votes.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.
