Firearm/Drugs – Arrest : C25-60606 On March 21, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., North District officers conducted a traffic stop on a taxi that was obstructing traffic in the 200 block of Boyd Avenue. As the result of this stop, one individual (a passenger) was arrested, and police seized a loaded Glock, a magazine of ammunition, over two thousand dollars in cash, and approximately $3,500 worth of cocaine.

According to a joint statement from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Premier Doug Ford, Ontario has decided to halt its 25% tax on power exports to the United States. According to the statement, Ford will meet with Lutnick in Washington on Thursday to talk about "a renewed USMCA ahead of the April 2 reciprocal tariff deadline." The change of direction follows U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement that, in retribution for Ontario's energy export tax, he will increase planned tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminium to 50%.
