Current times remind so much of the late 70s when the religious right tried to dismiss and subvert the humanitarian and social changes that the Boomers started to foster at that time. This is like the second round of that - a last hurrah if you will. Let's hope we get through to the other side.

This is also used to describe video games that start out good but the publisher decides they want more and adds loot boxes or "battle passes" or anything that sucks the fun out of said game.

Saw this getting a like today. I know RL sucks. Do what you can to promote positivity, in and out of game, whenever and wherever you find yourself.
Especially now it's important to do the things that bring you joy. Escaping into video games at least for a little while can take your mind off the dumpster fire of current events.
I love video games.
I'm genuinely proud to have a hobby that I love so much and that brings me happiness. I'll never stop playing video games until I physically can't anymore.
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, don't ever stop playing games that bring you peace when you need it most.

When I first moved to LA, I had met a grand total of about five famous people. I was a manager at a General Cinemas in Sherman Oaks where we had a TON of famous people come in, both for special screenings and just as regular customers. I had to get used to it very quickly for that job.
