Absolutely unacceptable attitude on the part of people representing the local constituency! Irresponsible! Active travel is important, and this project has been a godsend for me as a wheelchair user.

It’s wild that Trump and the Republicans are willing to try basically everything except actually making things less expensive for people.

Because they know if they show government can do that we’ll want it to do that more. #MedicareForAllNOW

Republicans control the legislative and executive (and the judicial, mostly) but it's not the Republicans' fault that everything sucks.

Yeah, sure Donnie. Go suck a Big Mac.
Doth he still rage?

Hello #galway. Populist planning for decades
Have you heard of “The Populist Playbook?”

A few years ago, I posted what I still consider one of my most important messages.

It was about “The Populist Playbook” that I’ve watched play out often over my 33+ years of city planning.

Since then, it’s only gotten worse.

Do the steps sound familiar?

"The residual ∼1.5 °C warming sustains conditions that hinder the full recovery of Arctic sea ice, potentially pushing the system closer to a tipping point. This warmth also promotes continued permafrost thaw, risking a path-dependent, irreversible release of carbon reservoirs."
New model findings "highlight the irreversible nature of Arctic climate change even under aggressive CDR scenarios."

This means we cannot entirely fix our broken climate, even if we could remove nearly a century of carbon emissions from the atmosphere.

And *this* means we must end fossil fuels.
