It's unfortunate that so many people have the perception that disabled people have it easier. It just breeds deep seated jealousy. They feel like we don't deserve basic necessities or even good things. And attack us viciously for wanting to get the support to live a full life.

My sister went to a doctor appointment today and another patient in the waiting room actually moved away from her because she did not want to sit next to her. My sister tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, because she’s not one for being elbow to elbow.

I just wish when ppl think about and feel compassion/empathy for ppl like Karen Carpenter, and Jennette McCurdy, would realize that the biggest contributor to their eating disorders was weight stigma. Fat ppl take the brunt of it, and the rest of y’all are collateral.

Arturo Ruvalcaba lives in Utah and is deaf.
Three ICE agents grabbed him at a bus stop.
He tried to use sign language to communicate his disability to them, and they interpreted that as “resisting arrest”.
