Filled with love for my mom today. Six months ago, she died peacefully as I stood next to her. I remember taking a deep breath as she took her last. It was both devastating and beautiful. She was giggly and fun, and I will forever be grateful that I was with her in that moment.

20+ years of hotel design, and I still find the Atlanta Marriott marquis as one of the most magical hotel lobbies I’ve ever seen. I’m obsessed with 1970’s Atrium hotels. Found this older Bloomberg article by Anthony Paletta that is a nice primer on the subject. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
