They (minus Sera and Lute) only just found out this was decades long thing like a month ago, so it very clearly not has set in the severity to what had been done.

I do wonder how this would've gone down if Vox’s event didn’t happen. probably not too differently lol

Imagine if every time some anime or manga referenced Star Trek, sci-fi nerds in Japan got online to do some version of “wow seeking attention, much?🙄”

In conclusion, sometimes people enjoy the same things as you, and they'll still make something you don't care for. It ain't that deep. (4/4)

They are both just part of culture in their respective territories.

Treating Easter eggs as some moniker of whether someone is a real fan or not is one of the most obnoxious, fandom-brained things you could do, as if you're saying “the world revolves around me thanks to my trivia knowledge.” (3/4)

People make references to obscure or mainstream stuff all the time, either because they are inspired by/enjoy it, or they thought it'd be funny.

Even if they were only doing references for attention, it honestly doesn’t matter.

Gundam is on par with Star Wars in terms of ever-present-ness. (2/4)

I had a feeling that was the reason but I can only take posts at their word, no matter how “vaguepost-y” they are. It wouldn’t be right to just assume you were talking about one specific person.

Imagine someone two months from now who missed everything coming across this post.

For what it's worth, Governor Elect Mikie Sherrill came out against the Senate vote early Sunday evening. I take her at her word, she's pretty upset since this was a central campaign thing, and hopefully, New Jersey keeps moving further to solidify the state-run health exchange from the Federal one.

Like if someone tells me they’re an anime fan, I’m not gonna take that as meaning they‘re a Mother’s Basement copy who watches every anime drop of the season.

There are levels and spectrums to this sort of thing.

I dunno.

I talk to plenty of folks who are fans of superheroes or even the horror genre, and they don’t keep up with every movie or TV show installment. Either thanks to disinterest or missing the advertising for it.

Fans come in all shapes, even ones that don’t talk about it as much.

Just finished. Damn, that WAS a great video. When the main point came up, I thought "oh yeah this has been a long time coming".

Surprised he didn't bring up "Return to Zombie Island", which went out of its way to DEBUNK the original Zombie Island film as just props. Self-gaslighting to the max.

I think it's interesting to see someone try and do what Jack here did with all the theatrical Spider-Man movies with an (at least started out as) episodic Saturday Morning Cartoon that aired on Kids WB in the early 2000s.

It's fun to listen to people talk about things they're passionate about (3/3)

I'm not well-versed in X-Men comics; I thought the series was "okay" when I binged it two years ago for the first time.
