Like obviously yes the CSAM generating machine is a problem but the algorithm is literally anti-natural engagement, killing any and every post with less than 100 likes. This is not a case of tweaks, this is a case of a conscious decision to make natural engagement literally impossible

I'm not taking potshots at people, I'm pointing out factually incorrect information. I don't have a problem with people not wanting to protest for whatever reason, but I do have a problem with them spreading misinformation when they give that reasoning.

NZers protest loudly and often. we essentially had a constitutional crisis in 2024 and it wasn't just that MP tearing a paper that stopped the bill that would have thrown it to the wind - there was a HUGE hikoi, over many days, from many types, and it worked.

NZ also has some pretty awful, shark-eyed fascists in charge at the moment. Obviously we're more left than the US in terms of the Overton window but I'd argue we're probably the most right we've ever been. and I think I can strongly attest to strength in numbers in both cases. 1/

I can directly attest to that, once I met people who lived outside of the US my mindset immediately shifted. And then I became radicalized enough to move to a completely different country. It's breathtaking how wanton the US's cruelty really is once you see it from the outside.
