The embarrassed administration longed to be anywhere else. Bored, yawning, the small crowd left early. A colossal waste of tax $$ to celebrate, not men & women who serve & deserve, but a rapist criminal who couldn't even bother to stay awake through it. He can't even muster being a lousy dictator.

2. today's White House meeting with Mamdani is currently scheduled as "closed press," which means it might not be much of a showdown

"We enter a period more dangerous than the last months of Nixon. The Trump presidency won’t end well. The question is whether harm to the nation can be contained. All honor to Slotkin, Kelly, Crow, Goodlander, Houlahan, and Deluzio for trying to limit the damage."

Brace Yourself for … Full. Blown. Panic.
The president is feeling cornered and lashing out. It will get ugly—and dangerous.

If you think the people throwing Great Gatsby-esque parties for themselves, while millions were denied their food assistance, are all of a sudden going to grow a conscience and save affordable healthcare, you clearly have not been paying attention.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

The Trump admin and their allies are trying to turn workers against each other as they gut our health care and essential services. Workers are not pawns in their political games.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.
