Nasra Ahmed, a 23-year-old US citizen, was arrested and detained by ICE. She was held for TWO DAYS.
ICE agents handcuffed her, called her a racial slur, and she was knocked to the ground so hard she got a concussion.

Its very hard for me to understand a life without empathy. I used to lie to myself. It was like a spell of protection to steel myself against the world. If i say it doesnt hurt me then i wont feel pain but all that did was leave wounds id have to tend to later. Now i acknowledge when it hurts.
