Threads removed my profile pic, which is the same here as it is on Insta, claiming the pic is “counterfeit”. I’ve had that pic on my profile most of the last 8 years, but it suddenly seems to be a problem. So, I’ll make sure to repost the pic and this message everyday day.

And a Potemkin quotation: “But today I heard ‘oh, well we werent invited.’ Well you’ve been there for three years. You should’ve ended it 3 years. You should’ve never started it. You could’ve made a deal.” Ukraine invaded itself, wanted to be invaded, had it coming. Abuser language is Yam’s bedrock.

Direct Muskovite quotation: “they wouldn’t be complaining so much if we weren’t doing something useful.”

I suppose people do hear what they want to hear. What I’m hearing is a consummate con artist whose reasoning here wouldn’t pass my first-year writing class.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

from my FB:

I think licking the boots of the incoming power monger and blaming outside fact-checkers for your company’s policies is actually more akin to virtue signaling than what you claim is virtue signaling. You are very, very clearly signaling to us what are your virtues.

Thank you for that.

Mark Zuckerberg Says Meta Fact-Checkers Were the Problem. Fact-Checkers Rule That False. (Gift Article)

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Just realized we can save America if we all pretend Elon Musk is cool and funny. It’s like the peoples of Middle Earth quietly agreeing to lie to Sauron that his ska band rips so he’ll call off the orcs.

AI is already adversely affecting lives. These energy concerns don’t even factor in labor exploitation concerns around the world.

I may have missed it, so forgive me, but MAGAs are up in arms and sending soldiers to pizzerias in Florida to investigate Gaetz’s sex-trafficking charges. Right?

Won’t have time to make my own flyer by Friday, so Whova’s mediocre flyer suffices. David Riche, Patrick Munnelly, and Rebekah Schultz Colby are my co-panelists.

Any professorial nerds know of any grad students planning/hoping to attend RSA next month? Here’s a link to volunteer time. Two, 4-hour sessions will earn free conference registration. I think registration is close to $300 this year.
