Once you start banning one thing in such a vague way, it's only time that vague way broadens up to encompass anything moderators don't like.
I feel like so many websites could learn a lot from the Archive of our Own content tagging system. It's peak self-censorship. Just apply it to your website and adjust as needed. It's not hard.
