I have reached out to someone in the US to offer my spare room in Scotland as a bolthole should the need arise. I do not think this is an overaction to what is happening and if anyone has the know how and resources to organise refugee assistance to people at risk now is the time to deploy them.

I think part of the answer as to why he won is not what people were voting for, but what they were voting against and who they were weaponising him against to hurt. Big part of that was women Misogyny didn't just act against her, it actively supported him.
