That's Montgomery Clift, Honey
@magatzapper.bsky.social
Best-selling author on /dev/null. Scientist. Fan of space physics and other nerdy pursuits. Slave to an embarrassingly large number of cats. Red Sea pedestrian.
This was Hayes along with a few of his bros in 2016. He has never disavowed it or apologized AFAIK.

Yep. Days apart in November 2016...

No thread about her is complete without mentioning her run for Congress, which was of course an extremely embarrassing failure.

Not only is it wildly illegal, it's not even a drop in the bucket.

The line they spout that most drives me crazy is "it was an easily winnable election" which belies a near-total ignorance of American politics. Hello, have they ever met a Trump voter? Ever watched Faux News for even 10 minutes? And they can never, ever account for this - it usually shuts them up.

And as much as it's a vast sum, consider what a minuscule drop in the bucket it is.

Any updates on this one?

Are you able to understand this graph or nah?

In reality, Democrats gained House seats last year, did better than expected in the face of a brutal Senate map, and narrowly lost the presidency in a year that saw incumbents wiped out everywhere.

As of now, the mobile version of the NYT front page has *nothing* about the protests. They do however have this bit of anti-Democratic idiocy.
October 19, 2025 at 4:59 PM
I keep checking to see if they've updated the front page. Now they have the protests as the 4th story in the left column, just above the fold. Still far less prominent than Diane Keaton though. This is how it looked until 15-20 minutes ago.

The New York Fucking Times right now, people. Protests, what protests?
