I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

Stressful day here at KIXE PBS, a small PBS station serving rural and remote part of northern California. It will be almost impossible to replace the support we receive from the CPB. There just isn't the money up here.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

I don't think the people most affected by the cuts pay attention to the news, or else their news is from sources that support their ideology. Sound bite politics.
Why are so many elderly, sick, and poor Republican voters who rely on Medicaid, SNAP, and Social Security still supporting a president, Administration, and party actively destroying them? Is their tribalism that fierce that nothing else matters, or are they just that ignorant?
