Do I drink camomile tea and calm my nerves, but potentially become sleepy.
Or do I drink breakfast tea and wake myself up, but potentially make my nerves worse?
Like am I sleepy cus I'm stressed or stressed because I'm sleepy?
( with my luck it's both)

I’ve been thinking about this today after spending almost 2 hours trying to draw a single pose sketch of a character… being able to tolerate the frustration and push through when it becomes hard (and it almost always does) is the main trait that you can develop to improve your art

Enjoying the process of creating art, even when it is hard, is the entire reason to do it in the first place. It should be fun. If someone's entire reason for wanting to be an artist is to be handed the result, then it will never be a satisfying endeavor. That is a spiritual dead end.

Fan Expo was, and still is, the worst-ever convention I ever tabled at, sales wise. I had been invited as a guest, but they didn't pay for travel expenses; I sold five books, but had to pay for five nights at the hotel, which set me back more than a thousand dollars.

CANADA COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS had a seminar on the upcoming changes to their grants and it sounds like
1) project limits will be reset and
2) they are enthusiastic for indigenous / racialized / lgbtq etc applicants
So: here are the few grant-writing tips I can offer!
