Assistant Prof. trying to make sense of a senseless world
Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson should feel ashamed. They don't, and plenty of people (dems) are willing to support what they're doing given certain axes particular liberals have to grind with Biden.

Still, that book is beyond shameful, particularly for bringing Beau into it. #shame

It's ironically parallel to grind culture, telling white men anything that went wrong was *not* because of their ability, their effort, or even just bad luck, but because of DEI.

All to soothe me from just admitting I'm not Solicitor General cuz Elizabeth Prelogar is simply better at that than me.
this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

This is a long gamer rant, but it's a window into Musk's approach to everything. It's not just he's paying people to level his account; it's how he needs to be known as a gaming god but is so lazy & shameless he doesn't bother learning the game's mechanics to make the ruse work.

BREAKING — Joe Biden has pulled off the impossible: positive job growth EVERY SINGLE MONTH of his presidency.

The last negative month was the last full month of Trump’s first term, December 2020.

Children receive so many more vaccines these days. Is this ok?

Short answer: This is ok. Today’s vaccines target more diseases and do so more efficiently than older vaccines.

I hate the direction lab equipment design has gone in recent years.

I don't want touchscreens, I don't want wifi integration, I don't want centrifuges demanding to know what time zone they're in.

I just want reliable instruments - with physical buttons - that do the one task they were made for.

So, you may ask, why do I get so angry about the new liberal spin on RFK Jr, as in, "he gets some things right, so let's collaborate on those" or "we have to work with him because he has a huge following we need to reach"? Because I've seen this movie before. 1/
