The Kremlin isn’t “agreeing” by accident — the NSS was written in their image. When a U.S. strategy document swaps democracy for civilizational panic and treats Russia like a stabilizing force, that’s not geopolitics. That’s alignment. Intentional or not, the signal is loud. #AuthoritarianShift

Ffs, solitary confinement is a thing we’ve all heard of, right?

There are lots of ways to torment people, if you know what they fear and value. Gaslighting, the cold shoulder, removal of basic freedoms or comforts. The idea that it can only be Jigsaw style Saw traps or something like that is wild

Now, that’s still somewhat physically oriented, even if no harm comes to you. What if you can never starve to death, but the feeling like you will goes on forever?

What about something like the 1944 play No Exit? Or the original concept behind the “good place” in the show by the same name?

Imagine you are chained to a wall (the cuffs aren’t painful, but you can’t move, let alone leave). Your favorite meal is placed on a table a few feet away, and you haven’t eaten in a long time. No one hits you, but you just stay like that, staring at/smelling/practically tasting food you can’t eat

He may even think it’s part of his punishment for killing his father, or anything else he’s ashamed of doing on earth.

To jump to a different question I saw asked, “why isn’t hell more of a torture to the sinners? It just seems like a shit hole.” Tortures isn’t always about physical blows.

I’m sorry. Did I say these live rent free in my head? I think it’s more than that.

They helped determine my weird sense of humor overall.
