“Why does Angel Dust go back to Valentino?” This comment below, but also: Even if the contract wasn’t a thing, even if it wasn’t abundantly clear Valentino is a dick, victims of abuse can sometimes have such low self esteem/worth that they believe their treatment is deserved.

I started drawing a character just to try a smug or confident pose/expression and it turned into an experiment of “how can I use lighting to make her like sinister?”

I was looking up reviews for the new paw patrol Christmas special (mostly because I was curious if anyone was being weird about their Santa), and wow. I didn’t even think I was on a Christian review site in the first place, but I guess it was. This got me to chuckle.

I know I’m rambling at this point, but like… I love the Peter Jackson LotRs adaptations. Love them. Formative childhood memories for me. That said, I can accept that the movies are pretty bad from a feminist or racial framing, but pretty great from a positive masculinity or queer standpoint.

He words it better than I do. The video is like 7 mins long and he gets around to the topic at hand slowly and compassionately. Cannot recommend his content highly enough.
