Totally anecdotal, but I've been seeing this energy a lot more lately. I'm in some Facebook gaming groups so I always get served suggestions for rage bait posts from other groups, and I'm starting to the replies entirely change to "Again with this shit?"

I remember when we didn't even have a Department of Homeland Security.
The thing to remember is that while ICE has always been like this, ICE has not always been around. It is not even 25 years old. We don't need it. We never did.
My fear is that people will start to get numb to these stories and tune out, or say, “Well, ICE has always been like this, it must be fine.”

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
