A mentality I had to grow out of in my early 20s, but “Debate me bro!” types have tricked the entire internet into thinking it’s “your job” to look at a screen and force yourself to be mad. That’s what Twitter is now.

I agree w OP’s general point here, but I do wanna point out that the statements ‘accept [thing]’ or ‘reject [thing]’ are ideological in nature and way too nebulous & undefined. You want to focus on ACTIONS. For example, ‘I want to stop the harassment of artists based on the fiction they create’
That means to radically accept, and defend, all art. No matter how uncomfortable it makes you, no matter how perverted, unnerving, or whatever it is, as long as the artist's intent was not to cause or incite physical or emotional harm onto others.
