Ah the « free market ».
An investigation into « legal instruments that can block competitors from setting up stores on certain properties. »
Market shares of Sobeys and superstore from 46-70%. No need for actual collusion.
Can’t even imagine a nonprofit option or at least resurgence of co-op.

Abandoning our climate initiatives because of the US *is* putting the US ahead of our sovereignty and economy.
Mad?

Good. Now channel it where it needs to be... the belligerent country south of us is largely responsible for today's budget.

I'm all for climate initiatives, but NOT ahead of our sovereignty or economy being crushed by a bunch of churls.

It's actually insane that the feds are promising to put more than double the amount of money they're putting into childcare, into AI.

Why not just set it on fire and dance around it hoping to sway the gods to our favour?

He tells me he'll make a decision “in the next few days” after reviewing the federal budget. Other Conservatives are also being courted.

Amazon and Walmart are two of the biggest recipients of SNAP and Medicaid funds because they don't take care of their employees. Families working 40+ hours a week requiring gov subsistence. In Canada they go to food pantries to make ends meet.

Devastating. Teen Vogue's politics coverage has been incredible and this is a major loss for journalism.

Legacy journalism keeps on getting rid of the only people making it worth anything anymore.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

We could be treating Canada Post as not just an essential delivery service, but an essential social infrastructure in our communities.

Instead the government prefers to treat it as a costly burden that must be subject to death by a thousand cuts.
