Italian Senator Carlo Calenda left Jeffrey Sachs literally speechless and shocked by calling him a liar and someone who repeats Russian propaganda narratives.

I believe this is exactly how public accountability should work - when a liar is called a liar.

People seem remarkably calm about Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant running on emergency generators. One has already failed. This is unprecedented in modern history, a nuclear facility in a warzone, cut off from the grid, relying on backup to prevent catastrophe. 🚨

If Trump really wanted to sanction Putin, he could. It would be no problem. Congress would go for any sanction he wanted. So any time Trump puts a condition on sanctions, it’s just another piece of evidence that he is protecting Putin from sanctions and helping Russia in the war.

Ukraine answered our call for help after the 9/11 attacks and deployed 5,000 soldiers despite not being in NATO.
18 Ukrainian soldiers perished.
Russia paid bounties to the Taliban for every US soldier they killed.
Let's not ever mistake who our friends and enemies are.

The very fact that the Kremlin allows Trump to threaten sanctions shows who really pays the price — not Russia, but the U.S.
