If it's hilly, a folding bike with gears and smaller wheels (16"–20" wheels) might be easier when learning how to climb

How's the terrain in your area? If it's mostly flat, a second-hand Japanese city bike is a good way to learn

It's sweet, sour, sharp, and very flavorful.

It also has some considerable burn, likely rather mild for fans of spicy food, but I have low tolerance for hot spices. I paired the dish with masala chai to help offset the burn a bit.

Most of the food is for sharing, so that limits my choices to one of their snack options. Because I'm a sucker for samosa but haven't had char, I ordered the samosa char. Samosa char (or chaat) takes an opened samosa and tops it with chickpeas, yoghurt, spices, and chutney.

Thanks but I highly doubt it. The indicator doesn't light up when I try to charge it. So it looks like the battery or the connection to it is fried. 😔

This is a rather small hotel and I don't know which room it was.

Anyways, I had to transfer to another room because there's a small pipe leak in my initial room. This new one is slightly bigger and has a table with a stool, so that's an improvement.

Last I was here, I invited a guy in my room. He's about my age, grew up in Olongapo, works with NGOs.

He also told me how there was a tenant in the hotel who was found dead in her room a few years back. It was pretty violent and was in the news at the time.
